Suite2Go went global in Q2 representing and meeting with fintech’s clients and partners in Singapore, London and Ireland. Our principal Andrew King had the pleasure of spending a week in London in June at Kaizen Reporting’s HQ in the Gherkin building. Summer in the City was in full swing and there was plenty of action in the fintech and RegTech space and lot’s of interest in how to grow into the Australian market.
Meanwhile CO-CEO John Ryan was in Ireland experiencing the vibrant emerging fintech sector in that market. Confidence is growing around Ireland’s ability to lead in AI, to such an extent they plan to host a major AI Summit next year as part of their EU presidency. 47 member state heads will be in attendance.
Also focus is shifting to the Central Bank of Irelands Sandbox progression with incubator projects. This is being accompanied by positive statistic updates about an expanding payments specialisation from the edge of Europe, but with closest proximity to the US..
What’s new!
This quarter we brought on a new client into the Australian market RTGS.global, their solution enables financial institutions to settle funds transfers with each other faster, cheaper and more securely than they can do today. You only need to connect to one API to find, select and then settle money movements with counterparties for currencies around the world.
Conferences and Events
At Suite2Go we believe staying ahead of the curve and being able to share knowledge and learned experience as an industry is extremely important. Conferences are important for their role in fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking. They can generate significant revenue for businesses, and provide valuable learning and professional development opportunities for attendees. We often run webinars and roundtables for our clients, as they offer distinct yet complementary benefits.Webinars excel at reaching large audiences, providing convenient learning opportunities, and fostering interaction through live Q&A and polls, while also allowing for recording and on-demand access. Roundtables, on the other hand, prioritise in-depth engagement, active listening, and breaking down hierarchies, fostering open discussion and collaboration, especially for senior executives and decision makers.

Suite2go’s Co-CEO Leanne Bradley attended the IMAP – Institute of Managed Account Professionals Advice in Action conference on Thursday 24th July https://imap.asn.au/events/upcoming-events.htmlThe overarching theme coming through all the panels and presentations was the impact that AI has and will have on the advice industry and its efficiency such through automation of managed accounts and discretionary managed accounts such as MDAs. Dublin Tech Summit
John Ryan attended the Dublin Tech Summit 2025 (29 – 30 May) which was run at the RDS, as part of Dublin Tech Week.
The 2 day event was well attended, and it was great way to connect with interesting new vendors in Ireland. There was less focus at this event on fintech, but there was a range of startups who were involved in the pitching competition which were interesting to watch, like Refact.ai (AI platform), Lastsay (an inheritance chat app), and also ClearIP (App to help startups through the IP minefield).
The content at this conference was reflective of the fast moving space of AI, and Ireland does seem to be positioning well, in both attracting new startups but also in connecting with the US and UK/European markets to progress around the technology and the upcoming EU regulations. Great to see our partner Corlytics (founder John Byrne) in action at the event, and it was nice also to meet Fexco (a little payment startup with 3000 people in Killorglin, Co. Kerry), and the Hong Kong Invest team who complement the work of Suite2Go in focusing on opening up channels to Asia for startups.

Regulatory News
ASIC Sustainability Reporting
SIC has released Regulatory Guide 280 (RG 280) on Sustainability Reporting, offering detailed guidance for entities required to prepare climate-related financial disclosures under Chapter 2M of the Corporations Act 2001. This includes companies, superannuation entities, registered schemes, and other investment vehicles. The guide outlines who must report, what information must be included, how sustainability-related disclosures can be made outside the main report, and how ASIC will administer and enforce these requirements. RG 280 builds on feedback received through Consultation Paper 380 (CP 380), which attracted 60 submissions from a broad range of stakeholders, including industry bodies, law firms, and academics.
In response to consultation feedback, ASIC expanded RG 280 to include guidance on climate scenario analysis, Scope 3 emissions, director responsibilities, and threshold application. Updates were also made to how sustainability information should be labelled and disclosed outside formal reports.
Reserve Bank review of payment fees
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has released a Consultation Paper as part of its review of merchant card payment costs and surcharging, following extensive consultation since October 2024. The RBA’s Payments System Board has proposed removing card surcharges on eftpos, Mastercard, and Visa to simplify payments, improve transparency, and boost competition, noting that surcharging no longer effectively influences consumer payment choices. It also proposes lowering interchange fee caps, potentially saving businesses $1.2 billion annually, particularly benefiting small businesses, and introducing caps on foreign card fees. Additionally, the RBA suggests requiring greater fee transparency from card networks and large acquirers. Feedback on these proposals is invited by 26 August 2025, with final reforms and a timeline to be announced by year-end.
